The historic Ross Castle is thought to have been built around the 1400's, and sits proudly on the edge of Lough Leane, surrounded by beautiful parkland, with magnificent mountains and rich natural landscape as the backdrop. It's not hard to see why it's such a popular site in Killarney for visitors, and here Ross captures it wonderfully in his unique and inimitable style.
Ross says: "I have never painted Ross Castle before, although views of the castle are often illustrated in the news etc. I studied a series of images before I came up with this view that suited my composition purpose at the time."
