About The Artwork
Ross revisited Amsterdam in 2019, after having first originally visited on his Triumph Tigress Scooter almost 60 years ago. He was inspired to paint it's colourful, bustling streets and canals once again. Canal City is one of these pieces inspired by his most recent trip, where he found the crowds so much greater than they had once been - and the whizzing bicycles something to watch out for!
