Ross was born in Mellor, Lancashire in 1937 and grew up there, studying Architecture at Birmingham School of Architecture and later living in London and Devon before moving to Canada to advance his Architectural accomplishments. He finally settled in Ireland in the late 60's/early 70's, and has resided there since, but he still spends a lot of time in the UK and his fondness of it's history and landscapes is easy to see within his work.
