Meursault, a small commune in the Cote D'Or, Burgundy region of France, is a name synonymous with prestigious wines. The limestone-rich soils and a favourable climate, provide perfect conditions for growing the Chardonnay white wines the commune is know for.
Ross recalls staying in a Gite in the village and spending time visiting the vineyards and sampling the classic wines as well as sketching. This pen & watercolour expresses the tranquillity of the of the area. A landscape filled with rows of vines, classified under various appellations.
